Building & RF environment
Floor plans, wall materials, interference and usage zones determine placement, not square metres alone.
From gateways and switching through PoE to reliable Wi-Fi: I design, install and document UniFi infrastructure around your building, user load and security needs, for one site or centrally across several locations.
Before the first access point
More hardware does not fix poor design. What matters is which applications run, where people and devices work, which areas need separation and what must keep working during an outage.
Floor plans, wall materials, interference and usage zones determine placement, not square metres alone.
Video calls, point of sale, scanners, cameras and guests create different capacity and priority requirements.
Staff, guests, IoT, cameras and management get separate networks and only the connections they actually need.
PoE budget, uplinks, spare capacity, configuration backups and maintenance windows are defined before ordering.
One ecosystem, deliberately designed
Shared management reduces friction, but it does not replace architecture. Every layer gets a clear purpose, documented rules and a verifiable handover state.

Access
The stable foundation from the internet connection to each network outlet.
Coverage and capacity designed around rooms, devices and working patterns.
Local video recording as an optional extension of the network.
Access control when technology, building and safety concept align.
Costs without the small print
Many core UniFi management functions do not require a mandatory per-device or controller licence. That can reduce recurring licence cost, but it does not make design, updates, backup, monitoring or support free.
Gateways, switches, access points and optional cameras or access components are selected for the project.
Hosting, UI Care, advanced security or support services may cost extra and are listed separately in the quote.
One-off setup, maintenance on demand or managed service with agreed response targets, based on your risk.
From floor plan to operations
A project does not end when the LEDs light up. Testing, documentation and a clear operating model are what turn hardware into dependable infrastructure.
Capture sites, cabling, devices, applications, RF conditions and outage risks.
Define hardware, IP and VLAN plan, firewall rules, AP positions and PoE headroom.
Preconfigure, install and migrate during an agreed maintenance window.
Test function, Wi-Fi, segmentation, failover and access; update plans and handover records.
Back up configuration, schedule updates, assess alerts and review capacity regularly.
An honest platform choice
I prefer UniFi, but assess it against your actual requirements. A familiar logo is not a substitute for the right operations and support architecture.
If UniFi is not the right fit, I will say so before anything is ordered and design a viable alternative.

Gläser IT-Solutions is registered in the UniFi partner programme. I have not yet completed a personal Ubiquiti Academy certification. I therefore make no claim to be a certified or authorised partner or a Certified UniFi Installer.
Many core functions in Network, Protect and Access do not require a mandatory per-device or controller licence. Optional hosting, advanced security, UI Care or support services may cost extra, as does any agreed managed service.
Yes. A phased migration is often the safer route. The assessment covers dependencies, VLANs, DHCP, firewall rules and maintenance windows. Existing cabling and suitable components can stay where they meet the technical design.
Floor area alone cannot answer that reliably. Walls, ceilings, interference, client devices, concurrent users and applications determine the number and placement. I plan from the floor plan and validate coverage after installation.
Protect records locally by default on a suitable UniFi console or recorder. Remote access and external archiving can be configured optionally. Storage location, access, retention and any cloud services are therefore defined and reviewed for each project.
Assessment, mounting, cabling sign-off and RF validation are provided on-site around Chemnitz and Saxony. Design, preconfiguration, monitoring and many maintenance tasks are available remotely across Germany.
Tell me briefly about the site, its size and what does not work today. I will get back to you with the next steps.

Existing network or new site
In a free initial call we clarify sites, users, Wi-Fi, security zones and the operating model. You will then know whether UniFi fits and what the next sensible step is.
